This redesign of the traditional Adirondack is slightly higher, tilted forward, and shortened in the seat.
The result is a chair that has more the feel of an upholstered easy chair.  Superior lower back support and
a design that is easily accessible make this a favorite chair for people of all ages.
The chair measures 48”h x 36”w x 42”d ( the tall frame chair measures 46" deep).  The Northern White
Cedar is custom sawn and milled to a generous 1¾” finish.  All hardware is 305 Stainless Steel. Upper back
brace is steam bent White Oak. Screws are countersunk and plugged. It is sanded to a smooth finish.

FOOTREST (SHOWN UNFINISHED)
$50  (PAINT OR VARNISH  add $25)

Just as the back of my chair has been slightly tilted to the vertical, I correspondingly raised the angle of the footrest.   The
result is a seat with more the feel of a chaise lounge.  It has the added advantage of being articulated so you don't have to
climb over the seat to get in.  Most folks leave the rest slightly forward, enough to catch the drop of your heel.  For shorter
people , or for storage, the rest tucks snugly up to the chair.
